Rugby Sevens

The game of rugby sevens is one of the most demanding contact sports in the world

Summer 2019

The best coaching he’s ever had. Really good format – great skills work in the morning and games in the afternoon. He loved playing with the older kids and learning from them. Great that it was a relatively small group of boys who are all keen and capable.

Luca (Heriots camp)

My son Archie Simpson had a brilliant time. I think he got a kick out of playing with the older kids and was full of stories about the matches with them and the fact that he was designated kicker for the team. He liked the coaches as well.”
Steve, parent of Archie (Heriots camp)

Matthew thoroughly enjoyed his 3rd time at sevens camp and finds it a fabulous fitness and skills boost before school pre season.
Thanks again for a great few days
Diane, parent of Matthew (Heriots camp)

Ross really enjoyed the camp. He enjoyed playing with new fellow rugby fanatics and picked up a lot of tips from the coaches.
Will be back next year!
Margaret, parent of Ross (Heriots camp)

I think it was fantastic that you focussed on skills throughout the whole camp with no contact work. The only negative for the week … was that it was only 3 days. Luca would have done more! But he’ll definitely be back next year.
Hugh, parent of Luca (Heriots camp)

Both our boys Reuben and Gabriel had a great time at the 7s camp last week and felt they learnt loads about the different code. Many thanks to all the coaches.”

Summer 2016

Harry was very impressed with the sevens camp. For our part it was also extremely well organised – both on site and in regards to admin. Thank you for being so accommodating with Harry coming a little later each day . I didn’t realise when I emailed you to confirm that you were in fact in Rio! You were all a great inspiration to the boys who raced home from camp each night to watch.
Kate, parent of Harry (Heriots camp)

Our son Zack really enjoyed the School of Sevens camp. He is also keen to attend the sevens course next year as are the other boys he came along with. Congratulations on the silver medal…we watched it all at least twice!
Elaine, parent of Zack (Heriots camp)

Rob really enjoyed the camp. He had done quite a lot of other rugby camps before but felt he learnt the most in terms of new skills at this one.
Lyn, parent of Rob (Heriots camp)

Our son Lachlan came to the camp for the first time this year. He absolutely loved the camp, thought that the coaching was really good, focused and very well organised.
Iona, parent of Lachlan (Edinburgh camp)

Our son James thoroughly enjoyed the few days he spent with the Edinburgh School of Sevens camp. He loved every aspect of the camp, even the challenge of the fitness drills! He enjoyed learning about the game plan and tactical side of sevens and gained a strong foundation of “all things sevens rugby!” Above all, he had great fun. Please accept our appreciation for the efforts of all coaches involved who made the three days a friendly yet very informative experience.
Vivienne, parent of James (Edinburgh camp)

Summer 2015

Hamish really enjoyed his day with you. It’s great for the boys to have different voices and varying techniques of coaching for them.
Mike, parent of Hamish (Borders camp)

We appreciate the time and commitment given to setting up these opportunities for the boys. It would be great if there were more sessions planned.
Jane, parent of Harris (Borders camp)

Angus had a really fab time. It was a real treat for the boys to be coached by people like yourselves.
Iain, parent of Angus (Borders camp)

Many thanks to you both for giving the boys a fantastic experience.
Diana, parent of George (Borders camp)
